ShowManager (Showman)
ShowManager is software to help you manage equestrian shows (Dressage, Eventing and Show Jumping). It is provided free for New Zealand shows and pony clubs.
Showman is a solution that was originally developed for and is owned by Equestrian Sport New Zealand (formerly New Zealand Equestrian Federation) in 2003.
It is free for organisations running shows in New Zealand and who might need to submit results back to ESNZ. ESNZ have also made the solution available for other NZ shows, including pony club shows.
ShowManager 10 was released on the 23rd November, 2009 and last updated 16 August 2010.
It was updated to run under the excellent FileMaker Pro 10 software, to support recent operating systems (Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6) and output results in a new spreadsheet format suitable for uploading to ESNZ (the old transfer format is no longer required).
If you would like a copy, please contact us using the request form.
The documentation is as for the old version, differences are a new look and feel for the program, more speed and the new transfer format.
16 August 2010 Update
Some minor tweaks plus a change to the ESNZ Zeus spreadsheet if you use Class divisions.
See the updates page for more information.
Please contact us for the update.
History
The original program was developed with the venerable FileMaker Pro 6 software and is fully self contained. It is designed to be used where results might need to be entered on a laptop computer in the middle of some showgrounds where you have no Internet connection. Entries can be imported from a pre-defined spreadsheet format (see documentation below).
It runs on Macs and Windows PCs (a stated requirement when developed) including Windows 98, Windows NT, 2000, XP as well as Mac OS 10.3 and 10.4. The original version has not been tested nor is supported upon Windows Vista, Windows 7 nor Mac OS X 10.5/10.6.
The most recent data updates for Dressage tests was in January 2009.
We are very pleased with the feedback we have had from users over the years.
